A healthy, simple and magical warm winter breakfast

Christmas is just around the corner. This means that the longer winter months are ahead of us. Therefore I have created this delightful breakfast bowl. I have carefully picked the ingredients so it is everything we associate with christmas. As well as what foods that will keep your stomach happy and full for longer.

Winter can be a tough period to go through. The sunny hours of the day is becoming shorter, and the darkness can feel consuming. Therefore you might even feel a little depressed doing the winter times. As a result getting out of bed in the morning can be very dreadful, which is why I think you deserve a power breakfast to really kick start your day.

I choose to make my recipes on mainly plant based ingredients. The reason behind this is that I believe that plant based foods will make your body healthiest and happiest. However if you wish to use non plant based ingredients, that is totally fine and the main ingredients can easily be swabbed if you prefer something else.

Prep time: 5 min. – Cooking time: 10 min.

1 cup of oats.

1/2 teaspoon of vanilla extract.

1 egg (If you are vegan, protein powder will do the magic).

1 cup of almond milk.

For Topping:

1/4 cup of chopped walnuts.

Honey as desired.

Cinnamon as desired.

First of all, bring out a pot and poor in the oats, the almond milk, the egg and the vanilla extract. Now turn the heat on to a medium heat, and stir the ingredients around.

While its cooking, chop the walnuts so they are ready to serve. When the oatmeal begins to look more firm and not as watery it’s done. Bring out your favorite bowl, and pour the oatmeal into the bowl.

For the topping you can put as much on as you desire. Add delicious honey, cinnamon and walnuts.

Did you like this for breakfast? I would love to know!
